UniversalAET to Design Custom Engine Exhaust System for Dentville Compressor Station in Mississippi
Universal Acoustic & Emission Technologies was awarded the supply of a custom-designed engine exhaust system – including the engine silencer that is equipped with a catalyst housing, an exhaust stack and an expansion joint – to address the thermal growth into the system.
The custom Cooper Bessemer 16W-330C3 exhaust system is being developed for the Dentville Compressor Station, a single-compressor facility located in Copiah County, Mississippi. The new station is being constructed to ensure that adequate delivery pressure is available for gas transmission, as well as to achieve specified emissions regulations and sound attenuation specifications.
The station will provide an additional 45,000 dekatherms per day to the mainline design capacity. With total estimated cost of approximately $50 million, the Denvtville station also includes 4,000 feet of 20-inch diameter piping and associated accessories, and must meet Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) guidelines.
