Siemens Awarded D.C. Power Station Turnkey Supply; UniversalAET Supplying Gas Turbine Inlet Silencer

Siemens’ power island equipment and UniversalAET’s customized acoustic solution will be installed at Panda Power Funds’ Stonewall Energy Project, a new natural gas-fueled utility generating station near Leesburg, Va. The 750-megawatt Panda Stonewall power generation facility is expected to power 750,000 homes. Stonewall will utilize the latest emissions control technology to make it one of the cleanest natural gas-fueled power plants in the nation. Originally proposed by Green Energy Partners/Stonewall, the project will include two natural gas-fired combined cycle turbines, each with a duct-fired heat recovery steam generator; one steam turbine generator; a ten-cell mechanical draft cooling tower; a natural gas-fired auxiliary boiler; and a fuel heater.
